Title RNA-seq analysis of gene expression in Helicobacter pylori expressing either WT Fur or a Fur variant (Fur-R88H).
Organism Helicobacter pylori
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Purpose: Next-generation sequencing (NGS) was used to analyze gene expression in H. pylori strains expressing either WT Fur or a Fur variant (i.e. Fur-R88H). The goals of this study are to examine the role that WT Fur and Fur-R88H play in affecting salt-responsive gene expression in the 2 different strains. The H. pylori strains were grown in the presence of routine salt (0.5% added NaCl) or high salt (1.0% added NaCl).

Overall design Analysis of transcriptional changes in H. pylori grown for 15 h in medium containing either 0.5% or 1.0% added NaCl.
