Welcome to the GENCODYS website
GENCODYS is a research consortium dedicated to discover the functions and dysfunctions of the brain. With this knowledge we will work on developing possible cures and patient information. The consortium is funded by the European Union under the 7th framework program (Health- 241995). The consortium counts 16 members, 13 academic research groups, 2 SMEs and a patient network organization. Most consortium members are from European member states (namely Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain and The Netherlands) but there are two non-European members (namely Iran and Pakistan).

Patients with Cognitive Disorders (brain dysfunctions or mental disorders) or family and friends of these patients are advised to contact our patient organization member with possible questions (EGAN; http://www.egan.eu/en/contact or email to: [email protected]).
The project officially started on May 1st 2010 and will run for 5 years.
