Dr. Patrick McCue is a Senior Partnerships Officer in the Technology Partnerships Office (TPO) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He works with NIST’s operating units and external organizations to handle collaboration, patenting, and licensing needs.
Before joining TPO, Patrick was a License Monitoring and Enforcement Officer for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health (NIH). Patrick has extensive technology transfer experience. He was a Senior Technology Transfer and Patent Specialist at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, a Senior Licensing and Patenting Manager at the NIH Office of Technology Transfer, and a Technology Transfer Specialist at the National Cancer Institute.
At the bench, Patrick was awarded the Prince of Wales Fellowship as the first postdoctoral fellow selected by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, NIH. He also held a fellowship in bioastronautics and fundamental space biology at the NASA Ames Research Center.
Patrick holds a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology, an MS in biochemistry, a B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology, and an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Patrick is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
