I'm an Assistant Professor in the Information Retrieval Lab at the University of Amsterdam. Previously, I was a Senior Researcher in the Databases and Information Systems group at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. I received my PhD in Computer Science from Georgetown University in 2016, where I was a member of the IR Lab.

My research interests include information retrieval (IR) and natural language processing (NLP), particularly in the medical domain.
