As part of YouTube’s partnership with the NFL, each week a YouTube creator is invited to an NFL game for an up close and personal gameday experience with unique access that only the NFL and Clubs can provide. YouTube creators, The Hulett Brothers, attended the recent Jets vs Steelers game and they’re giving us a behind-the-scenes look at their exciting pre-week and gameday experience. We were pumped to be featured as Creator of the Week through one of the NFL and YouTube’s creator programs and to be invited to attend the Steelers vs. Jets game on Sunday night! From video collabs with players to hanging with Steelers fans, we’re letting you in on our football-filled weekend.
Friday
We arrived on Friday and went to the Steelers practice facility to film a video with the punter (Corliss Waitman) and long snapper (Christian Kuntz).
It was incredible to see the players in their element and watching the precision and focus during the trick shot. We were able to capture some great moments for an awesome video, which we ended up collaborating on with the NFL and the Steelers on Sunday.
Saturday
On Saturday, we went to the stadium and had the chance to do trick shots all around for two hours—it was such an amazing experience exploring the stadium while creating content. We’ve never seen a huge stadium so empty…it was the ultimate VIP treatment to be able to film with almost no one there. We tried trick shots we had never done before…be sure to check out our videos to see which shots went in…
Sunday
Sunday arrived and we were beyond pumped for the game! We got there early, hung out with fans, took photos, and even joined in some of the pre-game tailgate fun. Steelers fans are super fun and they ride for their team! The energy was incredible, and it only got better when we headed down to the field to watch the players warm up. You could feel the anticipation building as everyone prepped for the game.
Once the game kicked off, the atmosphere was electric! Two interceptions during the game sent the crowd into a frenzy, and the excitement was through the roof. It was one of those moments where you couldn’t help but get caught up in the energy of the fans, cheering with them for every big play. Watching the Steelers pull off a win made the whole experience unforgettable!
