Protein NIP30 je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom FAM192A.[5][6]

Gross (2017) mapirao je gen FAM192A u ludski hromosom 16q13 na osnovu poravnanja sekvence FAM192A (GenBank BC020536) sa genomskom sekvencom (GRCh38). Waddell et al. (2016) mapirali su gen Fam192a u mišji hromosom 8.[7]
