Funkcija
Ovaj gen je član natporodice imunoglobulina (Ig) i nalazi se u regiji klase III glavnog kompleksa histokompatibilnosti (MHC). Protein kodiran ovim genom je glikozilirani receptor ćelijske površine vezan za plazmamembranu, ali su topljive izoforme kodirane nekim varijantama transkripta u endoplazmatskom retikulumu i Golgijevom aparatu prije izlučivanja. Za ovaj gen pronađeno je više varijanti transkripta koje kodiraju različite izoforme.[7]
