Postage stamps of Romania are PD. There's zero evidence that photographs on postcards become PD simply because they contain a stamp though. That's not how the law usually works. So these images should be deleted as COPYVIO unless someone can provide evidence to the contrary.

It really doesn't matter even if I'm not the photographer, my relatives know the individual and have met him in real life, I, myself have met him in 2017/2016. I own the work and I have the rights except to being the photographer, I don't think being a photographer means having the rights. If I created the work myself, I own the rights. You can't find the photograph anywhere, it's not a good idea to say who's the photographer without its credible visibility and popularity. I have proper permission from the photographer with whom I know and is a close relative of mine. In that case the photographer is my relative and I own the work since I uploaded it to Commons. Delete Those are expressly not sufficient reasons for deletion, per COM:DR. However, since these are pictures of a Miss Universe Myanmar, that makes it much more doubtful they are really the uploader's own works, and I think that is a sufficient reason for deletion, with their sizes and lack of useful metadata functioning as supporting evidence, exactly as intended in COM:DR, which you might want to have a look at. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:31, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is a photo of the entire building and the area around it. The mural is unavoidably included and is entirely incidental to the overall subject-matter of the photograph (which is the entire building and surroundings). The mural was not the reason for taking the photograph.

The COM:De minimis#Guidelines say a file containing copyrighted work X is less likely to satisfy de minimis the more of these it meets:

the file is in use to illustrate X

the file is categorised in relation to X

X is referenced in the filename

X is referenced in the description

X cannot be removed from the file without making the file useless

from other contextual clues (e.g., by comparison with a series of uploads by the same uploader) X is the reason for the creation of the file.

The only one of these that this photo failed is "X is referenced in the description" to remedy that I have updated the description. I think this file can be safely kept.

Upon your claims, I visited the source in my description and found that there's a VOA watermark, credits which it claims, right beside the photo, doesn't that mean they created it and they can allow it to be released under public domain? As far as you dive deeper into the source and see what's actually there, Voice of America (Burmese) credit to themselves only and not others. I have previewed the source again, that 37 seconds of the video you're talking about is the term "အရှင် ပညာစာရ ကြခတ်ဝိုင်း" (Ashin Pannasara Kyauk Taw Win) actually refers to a religious title and location associated with a Buddhist monk, not to any statement about VOA ownership or copyright status. It could also means that the photographer of the photo, granted access for permission of usage to Voice of America (Burmese) to use it on the video, which they owns now. This photo and the other photos by this uploader might be own work. The photos have EXIF data and the uploader is likely acquainted or associated with the subject (or is the depicted subject) judging by the uploader's username (RAPiS DX). There is a section called "株式会社RAPiS" on the subject's Ja Wiki article[1] which also mentions the letters "DX", so the uploader's username is in that article and it looks like RAPiS is the name of the subject's company[2]. A similar, but different, photo is also used as the profile picture of the subject's Instagram[3]. So, possibly a work for hire for advertisement purposes, or upload by a company representative, or upload by the subject of the photo. Either way, the images might be out of scope as advertising in nature, and the company potentially lacking encyclopedic notability (the article on the subject has been nominated for deletion on Ja Wiki[4]). The file would need to be renamed when undeleted (in 2093?) as it is not located in the city of Yelets and not even in the Yelets eparchy, but in Zadonsk, in the Lipetsk eparchy. it looks like a print under a transparent sheet in a photo album, like other images in the same series. It doesn't look especially modified or made to look old. No real opinion on the request, but the sum of several potential issues could justify deletion. 1. It would be useful to have a confirmation by the uploader that they are really the author of all the original photos. 2. And real dates of the original photos. 3. There are privacy concerns about those photos of non notable persons in a private setting. 4. Likely copyvio. File was uploaded to Commons from Flickr in 2014. The linked Flickr page shows that the image was uploaded to that site in 2010 with an All Rights Reserved copyright tag, and no other history of licensing tags used. Neither the Flickr page nor this page provides a justification of when or where this image was ever published without a proper copyright notice. My attempts to verify the copyright status of this image have failed, and the original uploader, who was a prolific image uploader, has been banned from Commons. This 1951 sculpture located in Norway is a work by Norwegian sculptor en:Arnold Haukeland, who died in 1983. So it is still copyrighted in Norway. Per COM:FOP Norway, there is no commercial freedom of panorama in Norway for statues/sculptures etc. (only for architecture), so the file should be deleted. It can be restored in 2054.
