Deprecated license tag: No indication that this is still PD under retroactive 2008 Russian law Papa November (talk) 22:44, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I concur. By the new retroactive Russian law this image is no longer Public Domain. It's sad however to see this image go as it is of a historically very important person. I'll try to get this image re-loaded under the fair-use rationaly, if and when the original has been deleted.Dutchsatellites (talk) 20:46, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
The image is still available at the English Wikipedia. You could retag it as a non-free historical image there if you like.Papa November (talk) 09:43, 18 June 2008 (UTC)- Wikipedia image has been deleted. Papa November (talk) 10:48, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oposse Wikipedia must have an image of this man. 82.81.155.23 16:28, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- comment This isn't Wikipedia - it's the Commons. The image still needs to be available under a free license for it to be kept though. Papa November (talk) 17:28, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- Keep, it's a work of the US government. Bogdan що? 10:53, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- comment There's no evidence that this is the case. Yes, it was used by NASA in "Challenge to Apollo: The Soviet Union and the Space Race, 1945- 1974" by A. Siddiqi, but it seems highly improbably that a NASA employee would be allowed to take such a photo at the time. I will check the photo credits in the book later today. - The copy in my library is only the second volume. I haven't been able to find the first volume to check the license, unfortunately. Papa November (talk) 23:50, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Comment The new "PD-Ukraine" tag on the image is invalid, as the image was published after 1951. Papa November (talk) 15:22, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
