English: Types of horn antennas. (c) Pyramidal horn antenna. The other two are sectoral horn antennas, pyramidal antennas in which one pair of sides is parallel and the other is flared. They radiate a fan-shaped beam of microwaves, narrow in plane of the flared sides, wide in the plane of the parallel sides. (a) E-plane horn, in which the horn is flared in the direction of the electric field in the waveguide. (b) H-plane horn, in which the horn is flared in the direction of the magnetic field in the waveguide.
