Works by this artist may not be in the public domain in the United States, even though they are in the public domain in their source country, because their US copyright was restored by the URAA. Please do not upload photographs or scans of works by this artist, unless they meet one of the following exceptions: The work was first published before 1929 (use {{PD-US-expired}} or {{PD-old-auto-expired}} to indicate this). The artist moved or traveled to another nation where the work was first published and where it fell into the public domain before the URAA date (see en:Wikipedia:Non-U.S. copyrights to assess these). The work is not copyrightable in the United States, e.g. architectural works (i.e. buildings) constructed before December 1, 1990 (tag with {{PD-US-architecture}}). The work is permitted by a legal exception such as freedom of panorama or de minimis (any sculptures by this artist used under freedom of panorama should be tagged with {{Not-free-US-FOP}}). The work was concurrently published in the United States and one of the United States public domain tags applies. The work was released by the author or their heirs via E-mail confirmed authorisation. The work is known to be in the public domain for some other clear reason. English: This template may be used in articles and categories of artists whose copyright has expired in their source countries (70 years after their deaths in most European nations, see Wikipedia:Copyright situations by country for details) but whose works were still under copyright on their country's URAA date (usually January 1, 1996). For these artists, any works published 1929 or later remain copyrighted in the United States until at least 2024. Commons cannot host works that are not in the public domain in the United States.

For many sculptors and architects, Commons:Freedom of panorama permits reproductions of their works if they are installed permanently in public places. However, if a sculptor has this tag, their sculptures published 1929 or later should be tagged with {{Not-free-US-FOP}}.
