Template incorrectly changing "vandalism" to "damaged"

edit

If the object history in Wikidata says that a painting was vandalized, this template changes that to "damaged" which is very different. For example, the Mona Lisa has been vandalized half a dozen times, but most of the incidents resulted in no damage to the painting. Nosferattus (talk) 03:15, 19 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thanks for bringing this up. I agree, it's not the same. This needs fixing in Module:Wikidata art. --Marsupium (talk) 16:25, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
If there was no damage, then by definition it wasn't vandalised. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:04, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Missing collection info from Wikidata

edit

@Jarekt (or anyone else) - Can you explain why File:Richard III - Sheldon.jpg is picking up two "Collection" statements from Wikidata but not all three? I've purged both items, but I can't get the Denver Art Museum to appear. Thanks so much - PKM (talk) 01:49, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Denver Art Museum has a end time (P582) qualifier, service link: d:Q128020534#P195. I'd say this is desired behavior. --Marsupium (talk) 09:12, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Wrong display of temporary exhibitions with more than one location

edit

Hey, I created the Wikidata item for File:"Portrait d'Ivan A. Morozov" de K. Korovine (Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris).jpg and also implemented the Artwork template in the image description. Unfortunatly the exhibition history is displaced wrong. It misses the fact that the exhibition took place in "Pushkin Museum" AND "Berlinische Galerie" and that one of the start and end date applies to Pushkin Museum and one to Berlinische Galerie.
It's not a big error and probably complicated to correct, but if anyone finds the time would still be nice. Thanks!! Carl Ha (talk) 12:04, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Weird template display

edit

Hi all. I was checking this file, and the Artwork template as of September 15, 9:00 (BRT), is displaying weirdly, apparently due to some connection to Wikidata. Could someone with relevant skills take a look please? Thanks. Joalpe (talk) 11:54, 15 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

The template that was put in the title by Mike Peel is apparently way too complex. I don’t think the title is the place for authority control, and would simply revert that edit, but I’d like to hear Mike’s opinion first. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 16:00, 15 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
With @Ederporto: 's approval, I've now migrated all uses of Template:Authority control/wikidata and deleted it, since Artwork now handles everything that it was intended to do. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 20:55, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
