Description
English: A Post-Medieval (17th century) cast copper alloy mount. 17.17mm x 15.15mm in size and 1.26mm thick excluding lugs. A small flat openwork fleur de lis with two transverse groves. There are two integral pointed lugs on the reverse. Weight 1.18g. The patina is mid brown with areas of light green corrosion product in the grooves and on the lugs. A parallel can be seen in B Read Metal Artefacts of Antiquity, 2001, page 29-37, no.336.
