Deutsch: Durch die beiden Kreuze im Schlüsselbart wird sowohl die 600-jährige Zugehörigkeit zur Mehrerau, als auch die fruchtbare Tätigkeit der Probstei Lingenau zum Ausdruck gebracht. Beide Kreuze gehören zum gleichen Symbol, weisen jedoch in verschiedene Richtungen, nämlich nach Westen und Osten. In dieser geografischen Richtung vollzog sich auch die Entwicklung der Gemeinde und des Vorderwaldes.
Durch die barocke Formgebung des Schlüssels wurde bewusst eine Brücke von der Gotik bis ins 18. Jahrhundert geschaffen. Auch die Farbgebung erfolgte nach heraldischen Regeln. Rot und Weiß sind die Landesfarben. Weiß wird aber auch für Metall verwendet. Unser Schlüssel ist aus dem gleichen Metall wie der Pflug. Hier sei daran erinnert, dass in Lingenau jahrhunderte lang Ackerbau betrieben wurde. Somit vermittelt die Farbgebung bereits wieder einen wesentlichen Aufschluss über die Dorfgeschichte. |
