- Les tracés des constellations sont souvent (pas toujours) inspirés de "The Stars - A new way to see them", H.A. Rey, 1952-1980, ISBN 0-395-24830-2.

- Central projection used (preserves star alignements). Scale: From square center to edge ~ 25°. This picture seems scaled ~1/5 for a normal reading distance.
- Star positions and magnitudes are taken from the Yale star catalog.
- Constellation drawings (often but not always) following "The Stars - A new way to see them", H.A. Rey, 1952-1980, ISBN 0-395-24830-2.
This animation is ment to compensate for the wide differences in star visibilities according to magnitude and visibility conditions, and its impact on constellation pattern recognition. The square corresponds to the field vision of a standard observator. The visual rendering is that of a starry night.
