| Description |
On my last day in Bharatpur I hired a guide and a car and set out for a lake near Bharatpur. Pretty soon we were stopped at this railway crossing. I don't know whether they have automatic crossing gates in India. Here is a manual one with its operator and the gearbox for cranking the gates up and down. And with his signalling flags. There is usually plenty of time to photograph at grade railway crossings because the gates come down at least ten minutes before the train arrives. |
