Parameters
- land: National team's country. Use a country name that works with {{flagicon}}.
- Name (optional): Used to display an alternative caption if country is left blank.
- type (optional): Accepts values W for women's teams and M for men's. Defaults to M for backwards compatibility.
- Badge (optional): Team's logo image or No image.png.
- Badge_size (optional): Image size. Defaults to 100px.

- Captain (optional): Team captain.
- Most caps (optional): Player with most matches. Indicate name and number of matches, ie. [[Name]] (200).
- Most goals (optional): Team's topscorer. Indicate name and number of goals, ie. [[Name]] (1000).
- Summer Olympics apps (optional): Number of times the team has participated in Summer Olympic Games.
- Summer Olympics first (optional): Year of first participation. Use only the year, the link will be automatically created.
- Summer Olympics best (optional): Best result. Should be linked, ie. [[Handball at the 2008 Summer Olympics|2008]].
- World cup apps (optional): Number of times the team has participated in World Championship.
- World cup first (optional): Year of first participation. Use only the year, the link will be automatically created based on the value of type (men/women).
- World cup best (optional): Best result. Should be linked, ie. [[1999 World Women's Handball Championship|1999]].
- Regional name (optional): If the team participates in a regional championship, use this parameter to display its name. Can be linked if appropriate, ie. [[European Women's Handball Championship|European Championship]].
- Regional cup apps (optional): Number of times the team has participated in their regional championship.
- Regional cup first (optional): Year of first participation. Should be linked.
- Regional cup best (optional): Best result. Should be linked.
- updated: Indicate the day the infobox was last updated.
- Colours
This template uses {{Handball kit}}, based on {{Football kit}}, to display home and away colours. See documentation and pattern examples in the latter.
- pattern_la1, pattern_b1, pattern_ra1, pattern_sh1: Use one of the available pattern names, ie. _white_stripes.
- leftarm1, body1, rightarm1, shorts1: Indicate a colour value without a leading #.
