Nix is the son of former Auburn quarterback [[Patrick Nix]]. Bo Chapman Nix (geboren am 25. Februar 2000) ist ein American football quarterback. Er spielte college football bei Auburn und Oregon. Mit Oregon gewann er 2023 die William V. Campbell Trophy und wurde zum Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year ernannt nachdem er für über 4,500 yards mit 45 touchdowns geworfen hat. Nix begann 61 Spiele am College, mehr als jeder andere Quarterback in der NCAA Geschichte.[1]
High school Karriere

College Karriere
Auburn
Als echter Neuling bei Auburn wurde Nix zum Start-Quarterback für die Saison 2019 ernannt. Er führte Auburn zu einem 27:21-Comeback-Sieg gegen die Oregon Ducks im AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, am 31. August 2019.
Nix führte Auburn in seiner ersten Saison zu einem 9-4-Ergebnis und gewann den Iron Bowl mit 48-45 gegen Alabama. Er wurde zum SEC Freshman of the Year 2019 gewählt und beendete die Saison mit 16 Touchdowns und 6 Interceptions. Im Jahr 2020 warf er als Sophomore für 12 Touchdowns und 7 Interceptions.
2021 war eine Saison mit Höhen und Tiefen für Nix. Höhepunkte waren der erste Sieg Auburns bei der LSU seit 1999 und ein Sieg über die Nummer 10 der Ole Miss, aber auch Schwierigkeiten in bestimmten Spielen und die Auswechslung von T. J. Finley im vierten Viertel eines Spiels gegen Georgia State. Nix erlitt gegen Mississippi State eine Verletzung, die seine Saison beendete. Im Jahr 2021 warf er für 11 Touchdowns und nur 3 Interceptions. Am 12. Dezember 2021 gab Nix bekannt, dass er das Transferportal betreten würde, und beschrieb sich selbst als "unglücklich", während er unter Auburns Head Coach Bryan Harsin spielte, der 2021 eingestellt worden war.
Oregon
Vor der Saison 2022 wechselte Nix an die University of Oregon, wo er aufgrund der NCAA-weiten COVID-19-Ausnahmeregelung für die Saison 2020 noch zwei Jahre spielberechtigt war.
Er spielte fünf Jahre lang College-Football und führte das Team zu einer 10-3-Bilanz. Im Jahr 2022 war er landesweit führend bei den Passing-TDs (40) und erzielte 6 weitere Pässe. Am 18. Dezember 2022 kündigte Nix seine Rückkehr für die Saison 2023 an. Nix wurde der vierte Heisman-Trophy-Finalist in der Geschichte Oregons nach Joey Harrington (2001), LaMichael James (2010) und Marcus Mariota (2014). Er belegte bei der Heisman-Wahl den dritten Platz hinter Michael Penix Jr. und dem späteren Sieger Jayden Daniels. Nach seinem letzten College-Spiel im Fiesta Bowl brach er mit 77,45 % den bisherigen Rekord von Mac Jones für die höchste Abschlussquote einer Saison. Im Jahr 2023 erzielte er mit den Oregon Ducks 4508 Passing Yards und 45 Passing TD. Insgesamt 234 Rushing Yards und 6 Rushing TD. Sein Lieblingsreceiver war Troy Franklin mit 81 Fängen für 1.383 Yards und 14 Touchdowns.

Persönliches Leben
Nix ist der Sohn des ehemaligen Auburn-Quarterbacks Patrick Nix. Beide Brüder von Nix spielen ebenfalls College-Football, der jüngere Bruder Caleb als Safety bei Clemson und der adoptierte Bruder Tez Johnson als Wide Receiver in Oregon. Er ist mit Izzy Smoke, einer ehemaligen Auburn-Cheerleaderin, verheiratet.
