Rick Smith Jr. was born and raised in [[Lyndhurst, Ohio]], a suburb on the eastern side of the city of Cleveland. He attended the St. Clare School until eighth grade, then transferredmoved to [[Charles F. Brush High School]], wherefrom which he graduated.
