Hello there!

Just so you know, an IP made a couple of edits to your user page that I don't think you would've allowed, so I reverted them. They haven't made any other edits with that IP though, so I don't know what their motive is. But anyway, just thought I'd let you know! Cubs197 04:10, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Also, they left this on your page "Vi är tillbaka! Missade du oss?" which translates to "We are back! Did you miss us?". It seems that you have had an issue in the past with some vandals. If it continues, I would suggest contacting an administrator by placing {{Admin help}} on your talk page to get assistance. Cubs197 04:18, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, Narayanese (talk) 13:05, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Referenda

Per your recent edit summary. It is incorrect to say that all referenda are non-binding. The referendum on the alternative vote was binding because the enabling act of parliament specifically said so (and it was parliament that passed the act). --Elektrik Fanne 14:24, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

If you say so, I'll trust you on that. I'm not keen on going through the referendum act, so as long as BBC's work of doing so is good enough... Narayanese (talk) 14:33, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
I'm actually trusting a couple of sources including a piece by a consitutional lawyer (whatever that really is) in the Finacial Times. I have not had a look at the actual Act itself. --Elektrik Fanne 14:53, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Ireland outline.png

Thank you for uploading File:Ireland outline.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:06, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

Can you nominate capture of Qayyarah for ITN

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Obaidi today declared that Qayyarah has been captured. It's capture isthe part of Mosul offensive (2016). Qayyarah is an oil-producing region and an its capture is strategically important for capture of Mosul. I think it's capture is worth for being included in ITN but I can't figure out how to nominate it. I know you nominated capture of Manbij earlier. Can you nominate Qayyarah as well? Thanks a lot. Open access journal

Hi, Would you be interested in being an editor for the WikiJournal of Science? It's a journal modelled on the successful Wikipedia-integrated academic journal: WikiJournal of Medicine. Currently several physicists have joined the editorial board, but it is hoped that the journal will be open to all STEM topics. It'd mostly involve inviting articles and organising peer review. Anyway, let me know if it's the sort of thing that might interest you (Relevant short letter in Science). T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 00:50, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

External academic review and publication of Wikipedia pages

Hi Narayanese. I'm contacting to ask whether there are any Wikipedia articles you'd be interested in creating/updating/overhauling and having submitted for external, academic peer review.

The WikiJournal of Science (www.wikijsci.org) couples the rigour of academic peer review with the extreme reach of the encyclopedia. For existing Wikipedia articles, they are a great way to get additional feedback from external experts. Peer-reviewed articles are dual-published both as standard academic PDFs, as well as having changes integrated back into Wikipedia. This improves the scientific accuracy of the encyclopedia, and rewards authors with citable, indexed publications. It also provides much greater reach than is normally achieved through traditional scholarly publishing.

The WP:WikiJournal article nominations page should allow simple submission of existing Wikipedia pages for external review. T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 02:31, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Nothing at the moment, thanks for the info. Narayanese (talk) 18:05, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
No problem. Hope you find the idea interesting, and you're welcome to drop by if you ever have something in mind. T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 23:38, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Unhelpful?

Could you please explain why this edit was unhelpful? –Kammilltalk07:20, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Let me finish building the page instead of attack me and it. I know what elements a new page should have. And it'd would have been a bad introduction if I'd been a new user. Less drivebys please. Narayanese (talk) 07:22, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Narayanese, neither I attacked you nor the page. I added those templates so that the page may be improved. –Kammilltalk07:31, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
OK. Narayanese (talk) 07:32, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Question about image RNA chemical structure

Hi Narayanese, for an article on mRNA vaccines I'd like to use a higher resolution copy of the image you made on the RNA chemical structure. Is there a way to contact you about this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LindeSchoenmaker (talkcontribs) 12:40, 16 March 2021 (UTC)

I can't find the file on my computer, but I can find other RNA illustrations for Wikipedia and they're all made using Photoshop, so the RNA chemical structure must have been made the same way, meaning that there's no scalable vector version done of it. Narayanese (talk) 07:41, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

Ah, that's a shame. Thank you for looking! LindeSchoenmaker (talk) 23:19, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

Expert Opinion

Hello Narayanese! You are a prolific and knowledgeable editor on biology and genetic topics. I was wondering if you'd like share your perspective on adding/removing edits from the Wikipedia page Outbreeding Depression. The question we are trying to reach a consensus on is "Which, if any, edits to include regarding the human species?" You can view the discussion here. MathIsMusic (talk) 04:21, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Solna Business Park moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Solna Business Park, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Mccapra (talk) 21:26, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Solna Strand

The article Solna Strand has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough in-depth coverage to pass WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
