2017 UTSA Roadrunners football team

The 2017 UTSA Roadrunners football team represents the University of Texas at San Antonio in the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Roadrunners play their home games at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX, and compete in the West Division of Conference USA (C–USA). They are led by second-year head coach Frank Wilson.

Schedule

UTSA announced its 2017 football schedule on January 26, 2017. The 2017 schedule consists of 6 home and away games in the regular season. The Roadrunners will host CUSA foes Marshall, Rice, Southern Miss, and UAB, and will travel to FIU, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, and UTEP.[1]

The Roadrunners will host two of the four non-conference opponents, Houston from the American Athletic Conference and Southern from the Southwestern Athletic Conference and travel to Baylor from the Big 12 Conference and Texas State from the Sun Belt Conference.

^[a] The game between Houston and UTSA was cancelled in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. It was originally scheduled for September 2 at the Alamodome. The schools are discussing the possibility of rescheduling the game in a future season.[2]
