  • curprev 20:4420:44, 6 August 2021 Broman178 talk contribs 21,602 bytes +1 Restored the [r] in the IPA because although this is arguably more accurate given that the local dialect is non-rhotic, it is not consistent with Wikipedia's MOS:RHOTIC, which states that IPA transcriptions should not be specific to any one accent whether rhotic or non-rhotic. In any case, most Wikipedia articles e.g. Birmingham, Derby and Oxford all have the [r]'s featured in their IPA's even if those local dialects are non-rhotic so best to be consistent with that. undo
