Official source cited in the 2007 edit are no longer present. Withstanding evidence, including the official Funimation site, Netflix page, and Funimation YouTube channel all include a capitalized X in the title. This is what the title of the Wikipedia page should also represent so as not to confuse most readers. SJCrew (talk) 01:23, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

Shouldn't Meryssa be spelled Melissa?

How about moving the Amigos into the Heroes category and (temporarily) delete the other category altogether? Considering they are currently in a similar position to Priscilla, I think they should be categorised similarly. Just a thought

I was wondering whether or not this anime was considered seinen or shonen. It isn't mentioned anywhere in the Gun X Sword article or seinen or shonen's respective articles. IMO its a seinen but I wouldn't call myself qualified at all.

Title changes

The article has been moved from GUN×SWORD to Gun Sword for the following reasons:

1. The '×' (or 'x', or 'X') is not present in the English title anywhere on the official page. The '×' is given only in the katakana title.
2. Since the '×' in unpronnouced, it is most likely just a fancy way of creating a space. Therefor, the correct way to romanize it would be not to include it at all. Middle dots are used in much the same way.
3. Since the title is in all caps with no internal lowercase letters, policy dictates that it follows normal English standards. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks):

In Gun X Sword's upcoming first official English language TV premiere on Animax (in its English language networks across Southeast Asia from March 26, 2007); the series is titled as Gun X Sword; see: Animax Asia official site for confirmation. Also, noted resources such as Anime News Network & Animenfo.com each cite the title as Gun X Sword, therefore most certainly, the title Gun X Sword is more widely in use (and thus, a part of common usage and therefore to be preferred per WP:MOS-JA), rather than Gun Sword. Anime News Network also cites that Geneon, the North American distributors, themselves actually cite that the X is part of the logo/title; see ANN entry - and both Geneon's and Madman's English-language DVD releases also cite the title as Gun X Sword; see ANN DVD 1 & Madman pages for confirmation. Therefore, in view of all the above points I have cited and the fact that it is the correct title, I propose that the title be changed instead to Gun X Sword. ···巌流^{? · Talk to Ganryuu} 22:00, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

• First of all, much of ANN's infomation is based off of user submissions, just like Wikipedia. It also lists many entries differently from us.
• Citing the "just part of the logo" works against you, as Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks) states "Avoid using special characters that are not pronounced, are included purely for decoration, or simply substitute for English words (e.g. ♥ used for "love"). In the article about a trademark, it is acceptable to use decorative characters the first time the trademark appears, but thereafter, an alternative that follows the standard rules of punctuation should be used" If it's not pronouced, it's decoration.
• More official writings of the title: Geneon's official page, the NewType quote on that page, official website for the DVDs, and the back of the DVDs themselves (I'm not quite sure what it says, but last thing listed in the credits clearly says "Gun [no X] Sword something [partners?]). In short, it is more consistantly 'X'-less officially.--SeizureDog 23:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

New Article

I have moved most of the information regarding characters and armors to its own article, titled List of Gun Sword characters. I've also added some pictures to this article. Hope it is okay, I felt the character descriptions were a little to detailed for a article regarding the anime series in general. If this is not okay, just say the word and I'll reverse the changes. Regarding Priscilla

Priscilla is pronounced "Pris-cil-la" right? Most of the articles (including Brownie) spelled her name Pricilla without the "s". I think her name is spelt Priscilla, not Pricilla. Should I edit this? Title ambiguity

This article refers to the anime by no less than four names. The article is titled "Gun Sword", the first line names it as "GUN×SWORD", and the text refers to it mainly as "Gun X Sword" (Uppercase X), with one "Gun x Sword" (Lowercase x). IIRC, Wikipedia style guidelines place significant value on self-consistency. Although having four different names seems unacceptable, I'm hesitant to chose one, because the majority is "Gun X Sword", while the article was preciously moved away from that name.
