John Ainsworth was born in East London, United Kingdom on 25 January 1957, and later moved to the United States. He began his education at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell where he obtained a degree in Cardiology. He then continued his studies at McGill University in Canada, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree.[1]
