Article Selection
[edit]Please list articles that you're considering for your Wikipedia assignment below. Begin to critique these articles and find relevant sources.
Option 1
[edit]- Attention Span
- Article Evaluation: The article is shorter than I anticipated but I like the way it is laid out (subheadings). It seems to hit all the main topics on attention span. The article is written neutrally and the citations are reliable, though there should be some more.
- Sources: 12 sources. Good amount, but there could be more. The latest source is from 2018 so I think we could have newer sources.

Option 2
[edit]- Women Writers
- Article Evaluation: This article possibly contains original research that need to be verified or deleted. There also needs to be some inline citations made. The article is divided into history first and then goes by century and finally lists all female writers alphabetically in their century. It is clear to see when we get to the 19th century there is a big jump in writers listed. Maybe this could use more information as to why. The article is neutral and the sources are reliable. The article is rated C-Class and so the Talk page isn't extremely big. Women writer's is of top importance according to the Talk page.

Option 3
[edit]- Blackout (broadcasting)
- Article Evaluation: The content of this article is relevant to the topic. It is divided by countries and then subdivided even more based on the networks in that country. It is important to note that there is a lot of talk about sport in this article because it is said to be the most prevalent. Many teams are only shown in their area because networks do not want other "out-of-market" networks overshadowing them. The article is neutral and there are more than 90 references. This article needs to be clean up more than it needs to be added to. I think for this article it will be important to look at certain league networks and do deep dives into those instead of picking a huge network and going into that. The Talk page is filled with many questions that should be easy to look into and change. They are mostly sports related.
