He began his production career with the dance act '''K5'''. K5 was signed to '''Robbins Entertainment/BMG''' in the US, '''ISBA Records''' in Canada and '''Universal Records''' in Germany & Europe. K5 had a Billboard Magazine Hot 100 hit with the song “Passion”. K5 played many venues and large raves throughout the U.S. and Canada. The music video for '''“Passion”''' was highly played on music video channels MTV and VIVA throughout Europe. Mickey’s last song with K5 which he wrote and produced, '''“Lovin’ Feelin'",''' was one of the top 30 songs of year in 2001 on 95.3 Party.
