Revision as of 01:44, 29 December 2010

Hi Neptunekh2: This is not meant to be critical of you, I am just a bit curious. Why do you think that Happy-Go-Lucky should be classified as an LGBT film? The subject is not one which is overt in the film [although it is suggested that Poppy is bisexual, it is not a key point in the film.] What are your thoughts? Thank you(Galaxycat (talk) 13:28, 7 November 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Hi - thank you so much for your reply. I think that is also a factor that caused Scott, the taxi driver, to become so aggravated with Poppy. He obviously has no understanding of her and I think that the reason for his anger is also attributable to the fact that she is so free in her ability to show love and affection to other people. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of More than weird, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://wikibin.org/articles/more-than-weird.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from More than weird, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. PinkBull 13:36, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Categories for discussion nomination of Category:Fictional American people of Filipino descent

Category:Fictional American people of Filipino descent, which you created, has been nominated for deletion, merging, or renaming. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Martyn Godfrey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Some things I would like to discuss

1. First of all, I think Larry_King should go under the category:[Category:American_people_of_Belarusian-Jewish_descent] because it says in the article that his parents emigrated from Belarus and they were Jewish. Also I think Peter_Douglas and Eric_Douglas should go under that category as since their father Kirk_Douglas is listed under that category as well.

2. I think it should be noted in the Alexandra_Powers article that her mother is Katharyn_Powers and was a writer for variety of TV series. This article says they are related: http://www.museumstuff.com/learn/topics/Katharyn_Powers Also I think in the Katharyn_Powers article these links should be added: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0584251/ http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Katharyn_Powers http://www.moviefone.com/celebrity/katharyn-powers/2035049/main http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Katharyn_Powers Thanks! I have moved the above comments from Wikipedia talk:Talk page guidelines because that is a place to discuss the Talk page guidelines. Please mention each item above on the talk page of the appropriate article. For example, at Larry King, click "discussion" at the top to visit the discussion (aka talk) page. If you want to discuss a generic procedure (such as categories for several articles), you might try the talk page of an appropriate WikiProject. On the talk page of an article, you can see any WikiProjects that have expressed an interest. Johnuniq (talk) 04:00, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Toby Proctor. has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 05:20, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    • Please further note that removing deletion notices from articles you create youreslf is not allowed. Please let the notice run its course and take the time to add references that will support this person's claim of notability. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:57, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Actually, you may remove deletion notices under certain circumstances. However, the notice at Toby Proctor needs to remain until reliable sources back up claims in the article. As a general rule, tv.com and IMDB are not reliable, because they are user-editable. Reliable sources include newspaper and magazine articles about the subject, where there is an editorial oversight process before publication. There are multiple other editors watching the article; any one of us, including myself, will gladly remove the BLP prod notice when reliable sources are in place. —C.Fred (talk) 20:28, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Neptunekh2. You have new messages at BrownHairedGirl's talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Yllapa

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Yllapa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
