Naming

@Qed237: Here is my source Elneny is not an actually name it is a nickname akin to Il Fenomeno. Many Egyptians have nicknames since young age. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 18:11, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple issues here
  1. Why do you keep removing hidden comment regarding "League only" in infobox?
  2. Why restore invalid soccerbase links removed by an other user and explained in their edit summary
  3. Why do you keep adding Arsenal as a source when they say nothing about his name?
  4. Where in the article you link above does it state his true name (without "Elneny")?
  5. If that is his true name, why only change the lead and not the infobox?
Your repeated edits are getting very disruptive. Qed237 (talk) 20:00, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm gonna warn you quid to watch your tone and speak kindly to others, I don't like this tone you have. What league only did I remove, bring it back if you want, my intention is only the name. Arsenal is the source for his name that he currently uses when he places which is the first name plus the nickname. It is similar to Man City page with Fernandinho Luiz Roza when his birth name is Fernando. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 01:08, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Why do you keep removing hidden comment regarding "League only" in infobox?
I don't know what you are talking about, I copied and pasted my revision of the article when I last edited, to avoid this issue that I'm not aware of I simply edited the name section same answer to your second question
:#If that is his true name, why only change the lead and not the infobox?
I didn't know players had names in the infoboxes, now you are playing games looking to build obstacles against other editors, or you would have told me that in the beginning if this is bothering.
:#Where in the article you link above does it state his true name (without "Elneny")?
In the first sentence, of the article I provided. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 01:15, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am just giving you standard messages since you are being disruptive doing the same unsourced edits to a BLP over and over again. You have no source for the name you use. Qed237 (talk) 10:47, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is no mention of his name without "Elneny" in the source provided that I could find - albeit through the automatic translator in Google Chrome. Additionally, both Arsenal and the Premier League, along with the BBC refer to him as Mohamed Elneny. douts (talk) 12:14, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Quid you are not giving any messages, you are giving threats and you are trying to call me disruptive even though all you do is harass wikipedia editors all around the world, you got nothing else to do but harass me instead of giving any constructive criticism. Now why don't you sit down and try to tell me what is wrong instead of bullying people into corner. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 18:49, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
(e/c) It is in the source (just below the pic of him in the yellow/black striped shirt), but it disappears if you use Google translate. The key line is ...«بدأ «محمد ناصر السيد والشهير «النني, which translates as "Initially Mohamed Naser Elsayed and famous as «Elneny»...". Number 57 18:57, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, ok. I guess the question then becomes an issue of different sources saying different things. His soccerway page [1] lists it as "Mohamed Naser Elsayed Elneny". Compare that to Fernandinho's page [2]. where it's clear Fernandinho is a nickname. Ronaldinho would be another example [3]. Which way do we go with it? douts (talk) 20:28, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Probably wiser to go with Egyptian/Arabic sources as they are more likely to be familiar with the player and the relevant naming conventions. Number 57 21:04, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The appearance of his name in reliable English-language sources would be the standard approach. Eldumpo (talk) 06:39, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That would be the approach to how we spell it and what his common name is. It's not an appropriate approach to answering the question of what his actual name is though. Number 57 09:44, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexis Ivanov: Dont tell me I did not say what was wrong, I gave you a list of 5 points being wrong. One being adding a new fullname without a source, and the source you mentioned here said nothing about his name (now explained it got lost in google translate). You have since added the source to the article (good!), and also you stopped removing the hidden comment and explained why using arsenal as source (for nickname). Not updating the infobox has now been fixed by myself. Stop being so aggressive and read what has been written instead. If you have problems with what we are saying, perhaps english wikipedia is not for you, but rather a wikipedia in your own language. Qed237 (talk) 10:51, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Qed237:And now you call me "piece of shit",watch your attitude when you talking me. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 23:29, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

One being adding a new fullname without a source
I added the source, you are being obtuse intentionally.
and the source you mentioned here said nothing about his name (now explained it got lost in google translate)
It's my problem now that you can't use Google translate. What a joke.
You have since added the source to the article (good!)
Thanks for the compliment, you see next time you become nice and sit down like a good lad, people will treat you well. That is the kind of attitude I expect from you next time.
and also you stopped removing the hidden comment and explained why using arsenal as source (for nickname).
I don't know what hidden comment is, I used Arsenal as source for his new form of naming which is first name + nickname
Not updating the infobox has now been fixed by myself.
So you stopped vandalizing and harassing people and contributed to Wikipedia, Good job son.
Stop being so aggressive and read what has been written instead.
Says the person that insulted me and harassed. You think you can slap people and expect them to kiss your hand and feet???
If you have problems with what we are saying, perhaps english Wikipedia is not for you, but rather a Wikipedia in your own language.
I contribute to many non-English Wikipedia articles, I can contribute to whichever language I please, what you are going to do about that, boy. Alexis Ivanov (talk)
Listen kiddo, you did not add the source to the article, and this is the English wikipedia so it is not my job to read and understand other languages. Qed237 (talk) 10:12, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
