My grandmother is of [[Adyghe]] (Circassian) origin, my grandfather's family came from [[Turks in Bulgaria|Bulgaria]]. Due to Balkan and Russian wars, and also Ottoman Empire's collapse later, a lot of muslims from Balkans and Caucasus had to emigrate to Turkey during 19th and 20th centuries. That would make an interesting set of articles sometime. |
