Speedy deletion nomination of Polyneon (artist)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Polyneon (artist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 07:05, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi there
Okay, so the above messages are a bit cryptic for a newbie on Wikipedia. Let me start by saying that you're really not allowed to use more than one account, especially not to give credence to an argument. I know that the account Curtisblow (talk · contribs) is also you.
The other thing is that your article will be deleted, and soon. There's a policy here that states that a band needs to be notable and the article needs to have references and citations for its content. What I can do, though, is move your article into your own user space - you can find it at User:Jamesallen2/Polyneon (artist) , so you can work on getting it up to scratch before it can be put live again. Not to say that it will make the grade, mind, but at least you'll have your text back and will have a shot at making it right :) If you've any issues, just drop me a line on my talk page and I'll see what I can do to help - Alison ❤ 09:54, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Reviewing edits at Dywane Thomas, Jr.
The article mentioned "his grandfather, Charles Thomas (deceased) is a jazz pianist" and was followed by two references. I checked both, and neither mentioned the grandfather. Did I miss the mention?--SPhilbrickT 00:38, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
The next edit removed the Nichelson Entertainment ref. I'm not so happy with this, as it did provide support for the claim that Dwayne played at the age of four. However, there paragraph talks about playing for the Bar-Keys, and that reference doesn't support the claim.--SPhilbrickT 00:43, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
How can I prevent him from doing these things to this article? Even the references about Ne-Yo are gone, and saw Dywane Thomas Jr.'s name in some of those references. He is really messing up the article, I am not sure what to do! I do appreciate your help though, Sphilbrick! Jamesallen2 (talk) 00:51, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
In short, you can't unless we find something that is inappropriate.Let's go through each of them, and see if they are valid.
I'm guessing that this is the grandfather? I haven't found a reliable source yet with a link between Dywane and Charles. Do you know of one?--SPhilbrickT 00:55, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
Yes that is Dywane's grandfather, but I do not have a reliable source for that. Is there any way I can remove the "citation needed tags" by reducing the information in this article, make it a smaller article....i guess? Also can I change the title back to "Polyneon (musician)".....is that possible? Jamesallen2 (talk) 01:01, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- If you cannot find information to support the statement, then yes, the statement, along with the citation needed tag can go.
- Regarding the name, this is a tricky situation , and generally depends on how Reliable Sources refer to him. The editor said most sources refer to him as Dywane Thomas, Jr., I haven't reviewed them to see.--SPhilbrickT 01:07, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
what next
In a nurshell the editor is doing what editors are supposed to do - review the article, note the claims made in it, and see if the claims are supported by the references. Some editors take a hard line and remove material that isn't supported by references. While those citation needed tags aren't pretty, they are better than straight out removal, although be forewarned, if they aren't ultimately sourced, another editor can come along and remove the statements.
Wikipedia isn't about what is true, it is about what is verifiable.
Help me find reliable sources supporting the claims, and I'll help you make sure they are added.--SPhilbrickT 01:03, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
Ok! Should I give you the sources to add or should I do it myself in editing? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to understand! I have the Ne-Yo references, they are like musician credit sources from Allmusic and etc. Dywane is playing on that particular album, but it does not say what song in the credits. Jamesallen2 (talk) 01:12, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, missed your comment. You should try yourself, but leave me a note if you have any problems, or simply want me to look at it.--SPhilbrickT 17:17, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
