Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Slee, richard thilthorpe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 00:41, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Slee, richard thilthorpe, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 01:05, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Slee, richard thilthorpe. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 01:15, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have just reviewed and popped a notability tag on your article. The only use of the name these days is for Tim's stud (which would not pass notability)- there is no longer a Narcoota or a creek officially so named, so difficult to give cats and the article will get lost or put up for deletion. Narcoota as you have written about is part of the official locality of Eudunda so I would be inclined to move the content there as a section and leave Narcoota as a Redirect. Quite well done and completely legitimate and notable content, though- if you are having any probs with the pic. please ask. I also moved your article on Henry Inman; fairly trivial; the use of caps. is one of those things you either know about or don't, like numerous Wiki conventions!! Regards (Crusoe8181 (talk) 10:09, 9 June 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Done, pic just needed JPG in caps; Narcoota Creek doesnt exist officially- appears it is an Unnamed Creek rather than having another name so if your refs call it that then it is fine. If you create an article for Hansborough, South Australia or Dutton, South Australia these are official localities and are automatically notable. Regards, (Crusoe8181 (talk) 06:41, 10 June 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Venus Bay, South Australia, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Aboriginal, Pastoralist and Samuel Stephens (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there, good work on the William Spence Peter. Your edits would be even more valuable if you added URLs to the newspaper sources that you quote. If you don't know how to format them, don't worry, but just drop them in; somebody else can tidy up the formatting (I'd be happy to). Keep up the good work. Hi Kaarenmax19, I've just noticed that you've made an edit to Fort Largs Police Academy, and that many of your other edits are to other South Australian topics.

In case you're based in Adelaide and may not already aware of it, a group of Adelaide Wikipedians has been meeting on a monthly basis since April, with the aim of improving the scope and quality of articles on South Australian topics. We generally meet at UniSA's City West campus; however our 23 October meeting will be at the SA Maritime Museum in Port Adelaide.

Sorry about the short notice for this meeting, but there is also a list of Wikipedia:Meetup/Adelaide/Future meetings, if you're interested. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 13:45, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
