It has been suggested that this article be merged into Watership Down. (Discuss) Proposed since December 2006. |
An Owsla is a group of physically strong or clever, well-trained rabbits who guard and defend a warren in Richard Adams' book Watership Down. The Owsla's primary purpose is to enforce rules and laws made by the warren's chief rabbit, or rah. In the oppressive warren Efrafa, there exists both an Owsla and the Owslafa, a form of secret police.
The term "Owsla" was once used as the name of a group in the multiplayer online game Furcadia who enforced the rules of that game.
