I have been thinking about this for a while... a long time actually. What would you think about Ayu's article being selected as the "today's featured article" for say... her birthday, October 2? I personally think that if it would be made, it would be a successful request because going by the point system (under "Calculating points:"), it was promoted to FA status over a year ago, the date (her birthday) is relevant to the topic, I don't think any significant contributor (which is basically just you) has had an article appear before on TFA, as a Japanese singer she's underrepresented on FA, and no singer has been on TFA for at least three months. What do you think? mx3 話 05:56, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

:Hi, sorry I took so long to respond (I really should check this thing more often!) Yeah, I think Ayu's article would make a nice front-pager for October 2. I'd probably have to give it a once- (or twice- or thrice- or more) over, but... Do you know if it's possible for someone (perhaps you) other than the person who got the article to FA to nominate the article for front-page-ship? If it is, you could nominate it yourself if you wanted...you have my permission lol. If not, I'll try my hand at it. ::No, pretty much anyone can nominate. I used to think that TFAs would get an extra point if the significant contributor was the nominator, but I just checked and it looks like that doesn't matter. I'll look over the article and try to fix any issues I see, although I think most of the material is still very good since it didn't change since your original FAR, and then I'll go ahead and nominate it. :) mx3 話 02:34, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

"this"

In regards to your edit summary--sorry, there is nothing wrong with the original sentence. You've added eight characters and a space to Wikipedia because you believed that your teacher taught you grammar, when she taught you (her) rules of behavior. Drmies (talk) 06:23, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 • Your teacher was absolutely right Ink. The sentence is poorly written and it's not clear what "this" is meant to indicate. Even adding practice doesn't solve the problem. The sentence needs a fundamental rewrite. The way the sentence is structured around "this" is lazy and non-specific. The reader has to guess whether "this" refers to the artist's commissioning, remixing, addresses when the practice "began", or is meant to address the whole practice of commissioning remixes in its entirety. I like it...

Thanks for finding and uploading commons:File:Ayumi Hamasaki in Paris.jpg. Ayu's article really can use some non-album and concert images. ^^; Eugeniu Bmsg 00:00, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move proposal

Hello. Your input would be appreciated on the proposed move of the article H (EP) to "H (single)". mx3 (Sorafune) 03:13, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
