A number of editors have added that idea in, no-one so far has been able to provide a reference for it though, are you able to do so? Thanks.--Alf melmac 07:11, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Transfield Services
Hi Djamie. It would appear that you're adding content to this page under the guise of being a representative of Transfield Corporate (Public) Affairs. If this is the case, I'd suggest a couple of tips. Firstly, you clearly identify yourself as that and establish a user profile called Transfield Services Corporate Public Affairs (or similar) and only use that profile for the purposes of correcting matters of fact made on Transfield Services. Secondly, I'd encourage you to become familiar with policies regarding sources and ensure that all statements are backed up by inline citations. I note that there is no reference to the claims you have made about the appointment of Goode, and a fair bit in this paragraph is not realy significant for a company of Transfield's size. As an example, you may care and look to Westpac, BHP Billiton, and News Corporation (or other listed Australian companies) on how their company has been described in the infobox. The reason for stating this is that I note you've included notable people that are not really notable, in Wikipedia terms (such as CFO, Company Sec, etc.) Also, the number of locations in the infobox means the number (eg = 26 or 477 or whatever the number of sites are), not the actual countries, which are covered under the areas served. I hope that you don't find my comments critical, but merely constructive feedback. As always, your feedback and comments are welcome and you can either respond here, or on my talk page. Cheers. - Hi Jherschel - thanks for your feedback. Yes - we will create an account for Transfield Corporate Affairs. R/e infobox - the only people I've added as significant are designated Company Officers, i.e. those who carry legal responsibility for decisions. I would have thought that at the very least, MD and CFO would be significant in that respect. Citations - noted. We will tidy the page up to Wikipedia's standards, and keep it as objective as possible. Have since tried to get an account in the name of Transfield Services corporate affairs, but wikipedia will not let us. So in interests of transparency - will continue to mark any edits we make as coming from the company. Using Westpac as basis for formatting etc.
- No worries re feedback. I note your comments about legally responsible officers. As can be seen in the Centro Properties Group case, perhaps of more significant note than the employed officers of the company are its directors. Both Guido and Luca are listed for the clear relationship that they have with the co-founder. The inclusion of Dr Goode's presentation to investors may be considered by some in Wikipedia as not objective, as it is published by the author, namely Transfield Services Limited. What would be considered objective is media commentary on Dr Goode's presentation to investors in a respected business publication. Finally, may I suggest that you please use the four tildes to identify yourself which can be seen at the top of this page, just below your name. Like this→ Jherschel (talk) 10:35, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
