In regards to your comment [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ADucknish&diff=485905475&oldid=485867636 here], I was referring to your type of edit (i.e. blanking content but with an explanation) when saying that it should have been reverted manually, rather than implying your edits should have been reverted. After re-reading my comment I can see why it may have come across that I meant your edits should have been reverted. Hope that clarifies it. Best. Your submission at Articles for creation

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Rainbow Live in Munich. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question.

I accepted your redirect request as well as the article you worked on. If you need any more redirects to be created, you might be interested in Articles for Creation/Redirects. Alternatively, you can drop me a message on my talk page, and I'll get it done. It might be faster with the current backlog. Best, Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 18:37, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you much. Good luck at DYK, and you are welcome to take the credit. Did you know that Dutch singer Henk Pleket sang for over thirty years in the Dutch language group De Havenzangers, singing of sailors, soccer, and sex? 66.168.247.159 (talk) 19:25, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't possibly take credit. You did all the work. If you would like, I'll submit it on your behalf. Best wishes, Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 19:42, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you can. Go for it. Donate a dollar or more to your favorite charity, that's good enough. BTW, I couldn't verify the "sex" part, though it's clear (translations of song titles: Don't get married until you're forty, At night after two o'clock, etc.), but the soccer (Rome, we komen) and sailors (De klok van Arnemuiden) are self-evident. Good luck, 66.168.247.159 (talk) 19:47, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nominated at Template:Did you know nominations/De Havenzangers if you are interested. You can edit the hook if you want. I wasn't sure if you and 207.157.121.92 were the same person, so I listed both of you. Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 20:14, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, thank you. Yes, we're both the same human being, on the run from the law. AQ, WP needs more of you. I'd give you a barnstar if I could twinkle. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 20:20, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to be of help. You do good work here, and it looks like our paths have crossed before. If you ever need anything done that you can't do without an account, I'd be more than happy to help. Best wishes, Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 20:32, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the removal of the travel-related content from this article: I'm not looking for an edit war, but I would appreciate your input at the article's talk page. Thanks. --Kinu t/c 21:00, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Soccer was dropped because it was not clearly stated as being about that in the body of the article. If it isn't in the article, it shouldn't and can't really be in the DYK. Hope that answers your question. :) --LauraHale (talk) 06:34, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. NTox · talk 02:24, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Even when an editor creates something as disruptive as an attack page, insulting him or her with obscenities is not the best response. We must dismiss our natural reactions in favor of civility. This is a matter of basic respect and is in part the foundation of this encyclopedia. NTox · talk 02:39, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"Asshole" isn't as bad as what I was thinking of calling him. But look below to see what your automated template goaded another automated templater into. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:43, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, another part of WP:DTTR is that you should still assume good faith when getting these. You're far less likely to get them if you make an account.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:45, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If I were logged in someone would have congratulated me for that edit summary. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:47, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
...proving my point.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:48, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, yes. But I'm not going to wish for my child not to be gay to prevent them from getting pestered. I'd rather change the world. When you become an admin, you can speak up for IP editors. They're not all assholes/vandals! (OK, at least I'm not a vandal.) 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:54, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
...but get the stereotype of that because 80%ish of vandalism is from IP editors. Yes, unfortunately, anonymous editors are regarded, even though they shouldn't be, as second-class editors.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:56, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Black hair with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Ducknish (talk) 02:37, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Don't be silly. I get a level 2 for calling an asshole an asshole, and you give me a level 3 warning for improving an article? Let me find the appropriate template for you. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:38, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • There's no need to be hostile. You removed an entire section of the an article for no reason provided besides "Let's not do that" in the edit summary, which doesn't really explain to others what exactly the reasoning is behind taking away the list. If you consider it an improvement, then you ought to have described why it was an improvement. Ducknish (talk) 02:49, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ahem. I hate to break it to you, but "hostile" is getting a level-3 warning. Dude. Someone gave you rollback and you have 200 edits? I hope that admin had a good look at all your edits, and that this was an exception. Part of editing Wikipedia is knowing what is and what isn't OK. A list of people who have brown hair is not OK. It's stupid. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:58, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • It's fine if you think it's stupid, but you should have provided a reason for removing it. I'm sorry, but when you see an IP user taking away a section of an article with a rather non-descriptive edit summary it just looks somewhat odd. Ducknish (talk) 03:05, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Create an account

It sounds like you'd benefit greatly from getting an account.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:39, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to User talk:66.168.247.159. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write practically anything you want. Wikipedia is not welcome to crude language and humor; it seeks to be a purely intellectual volume.Rsteilberg talk 00:51, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Welsh Valley Middle School with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Ducknish (talk) 03:22, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly don't know what vandalism is. See WP:VANDAL. You don't deserve rollback, and you should start writing your own shit instead of reverting what others do. We got a link for that too: WP:BITE. You're not going to drive me away, but you might do that to other, newer editors. Stay off my talk page unless you have an apology to offer; your attempts to justify your edits are a bit pathetic. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:56, 6 April 2012 (UTC) Fine by me, but you might want to actually read WP:BITE. Good night. Ducknish (talk) 03:57, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"I don't know what I'm doing"

I didn't particularly appreciate your comments.

And look at this talk page, you have so many goddamn warnings. Someone needs to play nicely. :) Sonikugunbattel (talk) 09:07, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the message you recently left to Sonikugunbattel. Please remember not to bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. Ducknish (talk) 14:57, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Clarification

In regards to your comment here, I was referring to your type of edit (i.e. blanking content but with an explanation) when saying that it should have been reverted manually, rather than implying your edits should have been reverted. After re-reading my comment I can see why it may have come across that I meant your edits should have been reverted. Hope that clarifies it. Best. Acalamari 18:49, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
