Breathless Beauty, which featured several treasure houses, was created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of a seminal exhibition which altered the course of public attitudes on architectural heritage. if this connection is allowable, would you want this to appear in a reference section? |

In terms of critical attention, i'm not sure what you require for proof of this, a work being in the V&A makes it somewhat notable, so any guidance on this is gratefully received. |

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please stop adding this promotional link to various architectural pages. It's not relevant to any of them. Please see WP:LINKSPAM. Bishonen | talk 22:56, 18 March 2015 (UTC).
- Thank you for the block, but each of the properties featured in a ground breaking film work at the V&A in London, which was spoken about in the main text of the entry. Please advise therefore how this information is not relevant to the properties? The external link was not a marketing promotion, the work is not longer in the v&A, so there is nothing to market, the external link was merely to provide background information. I also see that it was not just the link that was deleted, a paragraph within the document was also deleted, and I have no idea which rule was infringed on that point. thanks for any explanations you can offer. 82.44.233.250 (talk) 19:24, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- I didn't block you, User:Risker did. There, now I have pinged her for you, so that she'll get a message you have questions for her about the block. But I removed some of your links and also some added text. "Promotional" doesn't just mean trying to sell something, it also means getting something mentioned on Wikipedia. Mentioned many, many times, in your case. External links are for providing unique resources for learning about the subject of the article. The houses being "featured" in the film doesn't cut it. The film being potentially "groundbreaking" really has nothing to do with the houses either. Bishonen | talk 20:52, 19 March 2015 (UTC).
- Apologies for the delay in responding; thanks for the ping, Bishonen. The behaviour of repeatedly adding in a promotional link (there's no other way to describe it) to articles over an extended period of time is considered spamming, and is unacceptable on Wikipedia. You have been adding these links for months, even though it is now incorrect, and the installation is not available for public viewing any longer. (It is not clear whether or not the artwork is owned by the V&A, but regardless it has attracted no particular critical attention.) If you are agreeable to stopping the addition of these links, I will unblock you. Risker (talk) 02:56, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the response. I should point out that I havent been been posting for months, I've actually just been posting on this matter a few times in the last 10 days, you seemed to suggest that I am involved in promotional campaigns, but I can assure you that is certainly not the case. I did not intend to come across as promotional so I could amend the text, and regarding the link, I wasnt sure how to reference what I'd written, so i can see that this was a clear mistake. Could you confirm that a reference that proves what I say, is not what you term "a link"- this is a bit confusing.
