Hi Srkris! I am Wamiq. Hope your block is over by now... Really feeling bad for you... You are most welcome to come and edit that article. I do not know why others did not agree with most of your correct information, but I think if that is the case, you better not undo others’ edits. I have also passed through stages where I added what I knew to be correct (though I was actually wrong), and after several very lengthy discussions, the issue was resolved without edit warring. Wikipedia has strict rules regarding edit warring (be you right or wrong). So I hope you did not take this to heart and will come again to edit that article... I have also told Faizan that your edits are justified, so you need not fear cannonballs this time. Regards... Picture copyright
Hi, I nominated File:Ariyakudi.jpg and File:Chembaisang.jpg for deletion. Ariyakudi lacks a source to verify its age and Chembaisang mentions a source but not an author and gives no evidence of permission. If you are the author, consider putting a notice on the website or sending in an OTRS as described on the picture page. Thank you Hekerui (talk) 17:32, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Cmforum.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Cmforum.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 02:13, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
The article Chembai Stamp has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- In its own right, this stamp is not notable enough to warrant an article of its own even if it actual issuance is not in doubt. With circa 10,000 new stamps issued worldwide annually few are notable, this opens a can of worms that all stamps should have their own stub. It is not even worth merging into Postage stamps and postal history of India and if it is not listed here there is no proven notability either.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ww2censor (talk) 16:28, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

Kshatriya
"Kshatriya" is an English word found in English dictionaries - go and look some up. It's origin might be Sanskrit, but once accepted into English usage with an English spelling and included in English dictionaries, it then also becomes and English word - you even said yourself "also spelt Kshatriya in English". English is the language of this encyclopedia, and a topic that has an English spelling uses the English spelling - in some cases it may also include the etymological origin, but the etymological origin is not used as the primary spelling. Now, you can carry on edit warring over it with several editors, in which case you will almost certainly end up blocked. Or you can accept that your change has been reverted and go discuss it on the article talk page - and then only redo the change if you get a consensus in support. I would suggest the latter, because the former will not work out well for you. -- Boing! said Zebedee / on Tour (talk) 05:54, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- You have twice reverted my edit on Kshatriya. I am not interested in a revert war with you and am not going to update that article.
- Just so you know, I was not trying to insert the word in the Devanagari script which is the native script Sanskrit is most commonly written in. Go and have a look at the Devanagari page just so you can know what you are talking about.
- IAST is the academic standard for transliterating Sanskrit words into English. All Sanskrit words in Wikipedia are transliterated to English using IAST, that is what I did in this article, and that is what all Sanskrit scholars and academics do in their books.
- What is your problem? Srkris (talk) 18:07, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Islam in the United Kingdom, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page British (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Mughal Empire, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Faizan -Let's talk! 13:31, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Request reason:
I was simply trying to revert vandalism (malicious removal of content) as I have already explained, which is I am sure not fit to be punished? You can see I was trying to add references to the article which were reverted by the person who complained against me, and his friend. I was simply trying to prevent him from repeatedly making destructive removals of sourced content. User:Faizan has himself reverted the article now, again removing significant quantities of sourced content http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mughal_Empire&diff=554733790&oldid=554730745 and himself violating 3RR.
Decline reason:
That is not vandalism, simply a content dispute, like any other. Kuru (talk) 14:17, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
