George Hubert Graham Doggart, OBE, MA (born 18 July 1925) is a retired English sports administrator, first-class cricketer and schoolmaster.[1] He played in two Test matches for England in 1950. He was the son of the sportsman Graham Doggart (1897–1963), who chaired the Football Association and played county cricket for Sussex.
Life and career
Doggart was born in Earl's Court, London, and educated at Winchester College[2] where he was captain of cricket and football. On leaving school he was commissioned in the Coldstream Guards. He then went to King's College, Cambridge. He was a Cambridge blue in five different sports and captain in four. He earned a Master of Arts degree. He taught at Winchester College (1950–1972) and was headmaster at King's School, Bruton (1972–1985).
