''Trade'' is normally a two-way or multi-directional phenomenon. There is a deafening silence in the article on what, if anything, was traded from West to East. Did European and other countries bordering the Mediterranean simply pay cash (gold and silver) for everything imported? [[User:Norvo|Norvo]] ([[User talk:Norvo|talk]]) 20:31, 8 January 2020 (UTC) |

Spices
There’s not much about the spices: nearly all is in the 2nd sentence (in the outline). What was traded, how valuable (or why - no substitutes?), where from (just Moluccas, or Java, India, etc)? Also who wanted it (kings, or everybody), how paid for (or was it slavery)?120.16.204.25 (talk) 23:41, 12 June 2018 (UTC)MBG
