Jaffna Stallions (Template:Lang-ta Sinhala: යාපනය ස්ටැලියන්ස්) is a franchise cricket team which plays in the Lanka Premier League (LPL). The description of the Jaffna Stallions directly from the company website: "Our goal for the Jaffna Stallions was to establish a professional cricket club that provides a pathway to excellence for local and national athletes. We have adopted an ethos of peace and prosperity, while encouraging community participation in cricket. Our love for Sri Lanka, our fans, and our team will guide us as we continue to build the Stallions franchise."

One of the priorities of this franchise is to promote and develop athletes from Jaffna and around Sri Lanka. In their 20 player roster they have 4 young players from Jaffna: Maheesh Theekshana, Kanagarathinam Kabilraj, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, and Sebastianpillai Vijeyaraj have all earned the opportunity to get coached by the best and play alongside some of the best professional cricket players on earth. Truly a dream come true, and the ultimate dream is when they get to play under the big lights.

The team is owned by a consortium consisting of Sri Lankans and Indians from all over the world including Australia, Canada, France, United Kingdom, and the USA.[2]The first consortium was lead by co-founder and CEO Anandan Arnold. Rahul Sood, creator of Microsoft Ventures (now M12), also co-owner of the team is leading the consortium of tech industry leaders from the Pacific Northwest and Silicon Valley.[3] Saranga Wijeyarathna was appointed as Director of Communications and Media in Sri Lanka.[4]
