The 2022 CFL National Draft is a selection of National players by Canadian Football League teams that is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2022. If the format from the most recent pre-COVID-19 drafts is used, 74 players will be chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA.[1][2] That number is subject to change based on the number of territorial picks that are assigned or if there are any forfeited selections.[2]
Available players
Due to U Sports cancelling all play in 2020, 132 eligible 2021 draftees exercised their right to defer their draft years to this year's draft.[3][4] However, the league also permitted NCAA redshirt juniors to be selected in the 2021 draft to balance out the influx of players to this year's draft.[5]
