Shanbeh

Shanbeh (شنبه in Persian) is name of the first day of week in the Jalaali calendar, used in Iran. It is equivalent to Saturday in the Gregorian Calendar.


The name of the rest of the days of the week are: Yek-shanbeh = Sunday; Doe-shanbeh = Monday; Seh-shanbeh = Tuesday; Chahar-shanbeh = Wednesday; Panj-shanbeh = Thursday; Adineh = Friday. (Note: Yed=One; Doe=Two; Seh=Three; Chahar=Four; Panj=Five)
