Unsinkable Molly Brown claim

I would like to ask for assistance with a source for verification of Palmer's participation in the show's original Broadway run. I checked the Broadway World interview where Palmer does mention the show, but only in reference to Harve Presnell, the actor credited at both Playbill and IBDB with originating the role of Johnny Brown; neither of those sources indicate Palmer's involvement in the show in any way — crediting him with only Li'l Abner, Brigadoon, and Lorelei. Palmer speaks directly to filmmakers' reluctance to casting Presnell in Brown's film version after originating the role onstage. Having looked through cited and listed external links, I'm stumped as to where to look next, since the two primary sources for such information don't confirm anything.
