Who Really Cares → Who Really Cares (disambiguation) – there is only one album named "Who Really Cares" Jax 0677 (talk) 00:18, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:59, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Jax 0677 and BarrelProof: queried move request Anthony Appleyard (talk) 17:01, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- There is only one album that has an article devoted to it, but there is also a song that has an article devoted to it, and there are several other topics by the same name that are treated as subtopics in other articles. If there is a primary topic argument, there should be a multi-page move – i.e., the album article should also be moved, but this is only requesting to move the disambiguation page without moving the album article. — BarrelProof (talk) 00:32, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose, and also see Talk:Who Really Cares (album)#Requested move 14 October 2021. 162 etc. (talk) 17:20, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per 162 etc. and per comment by BarrelProof. There are five entries (two bluelinks as well three WP:DABMENTIONS) listed upon the Who Really Cares disambiguation page, with no indication that either the album or the song is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC over all the remaining entries combined. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 18:30, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reply - I plan to have the album moved to "Who Really Cares" as soon as the disambiguation page is moved. The reason that the previous discussion was closed is because the disambiguation page was created while the discussion was taking place. The previous discussion mentioned the possibility of having a follow on discussion. The song is named "Who Really Cares (Featuring the Sound of Insanity)", not "Who Really Cares", so the argument about the two blue links or WP:NOPT is a moot point. --Jax 0677 (talk) 00:57, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Just because it's the only exact title match doesn't automatically make it a primary topic; see WP:DAB. Who Really Cares (album) doesn't get a lot of pageviews, and many of the pageviews it is getting are because of the recent RM activity. I don't see an argument for long-term significance either, so the dabpage should be at the base title; see WP:NOPRIMARY. 162 etc. (talk) 16:35, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Well, it's a Janis Ian album. I strongly suspect it has some long-term significance, even if only as a disappointment emanating from a dark period of her life. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:57, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- I strongly suspect the title of the article about the song wouldn't have "(Featuring the Sound of Insanity)" in it if that wasn't necessary for disambiguation. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:33, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- And since there was a directly related RM about the album article that was contested and failed to reach a consensus only two days before this WP:RMTR submission, this clearly should not have been submitted as an uncontroversial technical request. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:41, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
