Singer/Songwriter?

[edit]

Is she a singer/songwriter? All of her songs have been covers so far, and the source for songwriter is her facebook page Novalia (talk) 21:24, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes she is a singer/songwriter. She released 5 original songs - four on her EP Under The Willow Tree, one on her album Another Bundle of Tantrums. The source is her facebook page and bandcamp page which has details on credits. https://tantrumjas.bandcamp.com/album/under-the-willow-tree-ep Buzz719 (talk) 12:21, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

More info

[edit]

I found this:

"London-born singer/songwriter Jasmine Thompson was first noticed at the age of just 13 for her YouTube videos covering various songs with her particularly smoky, eerie voice. After racking up millions of views of her videos of Taylor Swift and Naughty Boy covers, Thompson began receiving regular radio airplay on the BBC as well as gaining an expanding online fan base. Her cover of Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" was used in an advertising campaign for the U.K. supermarket chain Sainsbury's and soon climbed the British charts. In September of 2013 she self-released her debut album, Bundle of Tantrums, and continued to upload new videos. She followed the album just a month later with an EP release entitled Under the Willow Tree. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi"

This comes from Pandora: http://www.pandora.com/jasmine-thompson?bio

iTunes also says the same but without "~ Fred Thomas, Rovi" https://itunes.apple.com/au/artist/jasmine-thompson/id681218267

That seems a good addition to this page, don't you think?

Is "~ Fred Thomas, Rovi" the source of this opinion?

Edit: How about if we add some small piece of a song so people can hear her "her particularly smoky, eerie voice", is that possible or is it limited by the copyright? Her voice is like nobody else's voice so that could be good to show in this page, do you agree?
