System magazine is a biannual publication geared toward insiders of the fashion industry. The magazine offers long-format conversations with relevant individuals within the fashion industry, accompanied by portfolios created by image-makers. (System was earlier the name of a successful American magazine, "the magazine of business," introduced by A.W. Shaw in 1900.)

Owner & Publisher

[edit]

Mike Obenson is the owner of System; he officially bought the publication in 2020. Since then, actively involved in leading the business and shaping its global content, the creative media entrepreneur has played a pivotal role in rescuing and transforming System Magazine into an even more influential media brand, including the launch of another biannual sister publication 'System Beauty' in 2022.[2]

Editorial board

[edit]

Elizabeth von Guttman, Thomas Lenthal, and Jonathan Wingfield.[3] They are the members of the editorial board for the magazine.[4] Prior System, von Guttman worked as contributors at Industrie magazine.[5]

Jonathan Wingfield has previously been editor-in-chief of Numéro and Numéro Homme magazines for 12 years. Thomas Lenthal has been the creative director of Numéro and French Glamour.
