Cheapflights Ltd. is a private international online media (dotcom) company based in London (UK) and Boston (US). Founded by travel journalist John Hatt, the company pioneered the Travel Search Engine (TSE) concept in 1996 by publishing flight prices advertised on its site by airlines and other travel operators. Cheapflights was one of the first independent online price search and comparison portal for travel deals and, following a management buy-in by David Soskin and Hugo Burge in early 2000, it was the first travel site to introduce pay-per-click (PPC) in 2000.

Cheapflights is one of the UK's leading international internet travel deal search company (Source: Hitwise). It launched its US portal in mid-2003. As a neutral site Cheapflights provides consumers with travel deals and supplies its travel industry advertisers with leads of people intending to travel.

Apart from daily publishing over a million deals for comparison each day, Cheapflights also includes additional travel information for consumers and news on low cost and major airlines.
