I'm a maths teacher with a BSc.(Hon) in Astrophysics, but previously worked in computing for many years. My interests are astronomy/astrophysics, biblical history, amateur radio, music and all sorts of crafts. I play the flute, have dogs, cats, rabbits, kids and a poor long suffering husband who complains at the amount of time I spend on Wikipedia.

Some thoughts

  • Intelligence is knowing a tomato is a fruit.
  • Wisdom is knowing not to put them in a fruit salad.

  • You cannot claim a right that you are not prepared to grant to others.

  • Just because no one understands you doesn't mean you're creative.

  • Never wrestle with a pig in mud. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.

My Babies

Bilbo (front) and Frodo (who is living proof that ID can't be correct - nothing that stupid could have been designed)
Don't mess with this lot - if you've seen Monty Python you'll know what I mean. Unfortunately the little black rabbit Rosie died aged 8 1/2
Jaffa - in the end stages of kidney failure so not long for this world
Gandalf - thought he was a dog (top dog) and was the world's most clumsy pain in the **** cat there was (why do you always love the ones who cause the most damage?). Sadly died in September 2006 due to congenital heart failure aged only 5 1/2

The new arrivals. Poppy (an RSPCA rescue - found pregnant and in a bad way) and Pippin (born 1/3/07)(thankfully the 5 kittens were all ok - the other 4 have gone in pairs to good homes). As you can see she is fine now and has settled really well.
