Template:Geobox Settlement Caernarvon is an unincorporated community in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, United States.

==History It is widely known for its role in The Great Mississippi Flood of 1927. Several tons of dynamite were used to destroy the levee in hopes of preventing damage to the City of New Orleans. However, this effort became less than fruitful when the levee system was breached in several other areas preventing the waters from threatening the city. It did cause major destruction in St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parishes.

The name of the community is from a plantation originally located here. The plantation's name is widely believed to be from a similarly-named town in Wales.

Education

Residents are zoned to schools in the St. Bernard Parish Public Schools.

As of 2007 Chalmette High School serves the population.
