Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony

Artemis Fowl: The Last Colony is the next projected installment in the Artemis Fowl book series by the Irish author, Eoin Colfer.

The plot details are thought to be as follows: When the humans drove the fairies to begin living underground, a now forgotten race of fairies stopped time around them to make it possible for them to stay above-ground without human interference. Now, the spell is wearing off and this group of fairies is showing up at various places in the world. This is very dangerous for the security of the People, because it is making fairies so much easier to find and could quickly lead to discovery of their underground society. For some, yet unknown reason, Artemis is the only person who can predict when and where these appearances of the "last colony" will take place. There are rumours that Artemis will get a baby brother or sister in this book.

The book is projected for release in late 2006 or early 2007.

According to an interview with Eoin Colfer (author) there is going to be one last Artemis Fowl book in the series after this one.
